Before the Dawn of the Golden Age, the gods of old created the first woman, Pandora, and bestowed her with a sinister gift. All the world’s evils were imprisoned inside a mystical box, which was then left in Pandora's care, with the warning that she was never to look inside. Overcome by insatiable curiosity, Pandora eventually succumbed to temptation and opened the box, unleashing a plague of horrors upon the world, thus cursing mankind to suffer mortal miseries everafter.

I find the music very diverse, with a broad variety of textures and atmospheres. This music will transport you through the centuries. During the months of September and October. I even listen to it at low volume as I sleep. It is so evocative and creates wonderful dreams.
I understand that a fellow named Joseph Vargo is the genius behind Nox Arcana. I don't know how one person could create so much sophisticated atmosphere.
This album is possibly my favorite, or possibly a close second after Transylvania.
I'd actually have to say one of the things that I find fascinating about Nox Arcana is every one of their albums is good. There have been none which are weak or disappointing to me. I hope they will keep going for the next decade with one album a year!

Another excellent CD of dark ambient music. If you liked previous Nox Arcana albums, I recommend getting this one as well.
